Santa Clarita to LAX: Drive Times, Best Departure Times and Your Options

The route

Most trips take the I-5 south to the I-405 south, over the Sepulveda Pass and down to the airport. The I-5 portion is usually predictable. The I-405 is where the delays happen: southbound on weekday mornings, northbound in the late afternoon and evening. Your chauffeur picks the route based on live traffic at the time of your pickup.

Typical drive times

Late night and very early morning: about 45 minutes.
Midday on weekdays: roughly an hour.
Weekday morning or afternoon rush: 90 minutes to two hours.
